Eva-Maria Popp

Eva-Maria Popp (* 1958 in Regen ) is a German author , columnist , speaker and lecturer .

Career

Popp studied pedagogy at the University of Regensburg and graduated in 1983 with a diploma. Speech training and communication, psychology and theology complemented the course. Through her field of study, but also through her own path as a working mother of three children, she is particularly committed to soft skill topics . 1986 to 1998 she worked as a lecturer at the specialist academy for social education in Mühldorf. In 1998 she founded a consulting company for social issues. In 2005 she founded a publishing house for socially relevant and social topics. From 2002 to 2010 she was a consultant for mayors and executives in municipalities, where she was able to promote social facilities (playgrounds, family-friendly leisure activities, improved facilities for senior citizens), among other things. In 2017 she traveled to the Arab world with former Federal President Christian Wulff .

Since 2015 Popp has been editor-in-chief of the magazine WIA - Wohlfühlen im Alter , since 2017 of the magazine die geWINnerin (Women in Network).

Popp has published a total of five works in external publishers as well as 20 books in his own publishing house on topics such as “Women and Work”, “Dementia and Self-Determined Aging” and “Care and Work” as well as children's books on social and cultural topics.

Popp is married and has three children.

Media presence

Regional television Landshut (formerly private broadcaster rfl ) dedicated a twelve-part television series with Popp as an expert on the subject of “family active and creative” to the topic of reconciling family and work. As an expert on family and women's issues as well as on topics related to her books, she became part of interviews and panel discussions on the programs Brisant ( ARD ), Mona Lisa ( ZDF ), Fakt ist! ( mdr ), quer ( BR ), isarTV and ORF 2 invited. ARD BRISANT (broadcast on May 1, 2016) reported on Archduke Markus von Habsburg-Lothringen in conversation with Popp about her children's book Kaiser for children in the Kaiservilla in Bad Ischl .

Awards

Since 2011 Popp has supported a care and employment concept for people with dementia. This work also brought her to Turkey, where she gave lectures on the subject of dementia in 2013 (report in Soma Karaelmas, Turkish newspaper of March 16, 2016 and PNP - Economy / June 6, 2013 by Ariane P. Freier.) And through it two awards (Zafer-Pokal " Sieger " and the honorary membership pin of the women's section of the Cumhuriyet Halk Partisi ) were awarded.
