The mountain hairline ( Peucedanum oreoselinum (L.) Moench , Syn .: Oreoselinum nigrum Delarbre ) is a plant species within the umbelliferae family (Apiaceae).
description
The mountain hairline grows as a perennial herbaceous plant ( hemicryptophyte ) and reaches heights of up to 1 meter. The branched stem is at least at the node ( Nodien reddened) something. The leaves are pinnate two to three times. The leaflets and leaflets come off at right angles, the leaf axis and the leaflets are not in one plane. The leaf axis is bent at an angle at the nodes. The pinnate sections are ovate-wedge-shaped and loosely, the terminal pinna are three- to five-lobed.
There are doppeldoldige inflorescences formed. The petals are white (rarely pink). The fruit is round-egg-shaped, mostly 4.5 to 5.5 mm long and about 4 mm wide. The edge rib is about half as wide as the "fruit casing".
The flowering period extends from July to August.
The chromosome number of the species is 2n = 22.
distribution
General distribution
The mountain hairline occurs rarely in southern and central Europe, in Spain and Portugal and northwards to southern Sweden and the Baltic areas. To the east, its area extends to Russia (Volga). The mountain hairline is a temperate-sub-Mediterranean-continental floral element. It occurs in Portugal, Spain, Andorra, France, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, the Czech Republic, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, European Russia, the Caucasus region, Belarus, Ukraine, Moldova, Romania, Austria, Italy, Switzerland , Liechtenstein, Slovenia, Croatia, Hungary, Serbia, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Montenegro. The mountain hairline is only widespread in parts of Central Europe.
Distribution in Germany
Peucedanum oreoselinum can be found relatively widespread in eastern Germany and Bavaria. It is absent in most other areas.
Location requirements
Peucedanum oreoselinum grows in light-rich, lime-rich, dry to moderately dry areas. The mountain hairline prefers loose soils (sand, loess, etc.), rarely on firm limestone or skeletal, weathered calcareous soil . It occurs in low-growing herbaceous vegetation at the edges of forests, on embankments, also on dams and in the partial shade of pine stands. In Central Europe, the mountain hair strand is a character species of the Geranio-Anemonetum silvestris from the Geranion sanguinei association. But it also occurs in societies of the Erico-Pinion, Cytiso-Pinion or Potentillo albae-Quercion petraeae associations.
ecology
The mountain hairline is used by the swallowtail butterfly to lay eggs and as a forage plant for the caterpillars.
