The Roman Catholic parish church Kufstein-Sparchen is in the district Sparchen the town of Kufstein in the district of Kufstein in Tyrol . It is consecrated to St. Joseph and belongs to the Deanery Kufstein in the Archdiocese of Salzburg . The building is under monument protection ( list entry ).

history

The church was built in 1953 and 1954 according to plans by the architect Otto Prossinger .

The church is a basilica building with a semicircular entrance hall and a straight choir.

Church interior

On the back wall of the choir is a baroque canvas painting depicting the "death of St. Joseph". It was painted by Franz Sebald Unterberger in 1737 and is framed by an illusionistic mural by Wolfram Köberl from 1954.

Furnishing

The baroque console statues depict Saint Joachim and Saint Anne . They were created in the third quarter of the 18th century. The Immaculata statue dates from the first half of the 18th century. The Stations of the Cross are late Baroque.
