The parish church Großstübing is the Roman Catholic parish church in Großstübing in the market town of Deutschfeistritz in the Graz-Umgebung district in Styria . The church, consecrated to St. Anne , belongs to the Rein deanery in the Graz-Seckau diocese . Its history goes back to the second half of the 18th century.

history

The church was built by Martin Rothmayr between 1786 and 1788. It was then incorporated into the Rein monastery .

description

The church is oriented to the west. The eastern facade was designed in 1855. There is a central niche with a group of reliefs depicting Anna herself . This group of reliefs was designed in 1856. On the church roof there is a wooden roof turret with a pointed helmet and a bell cast by Johann Feltl in 1853.

The building is a hall church and is rounded towards the choir . The low and narrow choir has a circular segment closure . Both the nave and the choir are spanned by a flat barrel vault. The swinging gallery sitting on two pillars is located in the eastern part of the church. The pulpit was erected in 1810.

The high altar dates from 1810 and the altar panel shows Anna the three of herself painted by Matthias Schiffer . There are also statues painted white by Leopold Zeillinger on the high altar. The church's late Gothic crucifix dates from between 1510 and 1520. The wrought-iron communion grille was made in 1833 by Paul Kocher. The baroque church chairs originally come from a Graz monastery church. The three glass chandeliers date from the middle of the 19th century. The organ was installed in 1832.
