Philip Banchong Chaiyara CSsR ( Thai : ฟิ ลิ ป บรรจง ไชย รา ; born January 30, 1945 in Chang Ming, Amphoe Phanna Nikhom , Sakon Nakhon Province , northeast Thailand ) is Bishop of Ubon Ratchathani .

Life

Philip Banchong Chaiyara joined the Congregation of the Redemptorists in, put on 2 August 1969, the profession , and received on 12 June 1975, the priestly ordination . Pope Benedict XVI appointed him on March 25, 2006 Bishop of Ubon Ratchathani .

The former bishop of Ubon Ratchathani, Michael Bunluen Mansap , consecrated him on June 27 of the same year as bishop ; Co-consecrators were Salvatore Pennacchio , Apostolic Nuncio in Thailand , Cambodia and Singapore and Apostolic Delegate in Myanmar , Laos , Malaysia and Brunei Darussalam , and George Yod Phimphisan CSsR, Bishop of Udon Thani .
