Philipp Collin (born October 28, 1990 in Neubrandenburg ) is a German volleyball player .

Career

Collin played since 2004 with the Berlin TSC and later with Schweriner SC and SV Warnemünde . From 2009 to 2011 the middle blocker was active in the second team of Chemie Volley Mitteldeutschland in the Regionalliga. His coach at the time, Sven Dörendahl , brought him to the second division VC Dresden in 2011 , with whom he was promoted to the first division in 2012 . In the same year, Collin also played his first games in the German national team . After a year in the Bundesliga, Collin moved to the French first division team Tours Volley-Ball in 2013 , with which he won the double of the French championship and cup in his first season.

In August 2014, Collin was temporarily suspended by the Anti-Doping Commission of the German Volleyball Association (DVV). He was accused of having committed three reporting and control failures within 18 months. In November he was banned for a year.

Collin won the CEV Cup with Tours in 2017 . Then he moved to VfB Friedrichshafen . With the club he won the DVV Cup in the 2017/18 season and was German runner-up . There was a cup win in the 2018/19 season and Collin was runner-up again with Friedrichshafen. Then he left the club with an unknown destination.
