Philipp Eitzinger

Philipp Eitzinger (born July 12, 1990 in Neukirchen an der Vöckla , Upper Austria ) is a former Austrian motorcycle racer .

At the age of 11, Eitzinger made his debut in the Austrian Minibike Championship and immediately won the championship title. In 2003 he was promoted to class 125 of the Austrian motorcycle racing championship, where he immediately won the championship title in the first year. In 2004 Eitzinger made his debut in the 125 cc class of the International German Motorcycle Championship on a Honda and was 14th in the overall standings . In 2005 he was able to improve to eighth place and in 2006 to sixth place. In addition, he competed in the European Championship in 2006 . In the class up to 125 cm³ he was able to secure the title on Honda. In 2007 Eitzinger contested his first two races in the motorcycle world championship as a wildcard driver at the 125cc World Championship races in Catalonia and the Netherlands .

In November 2007, at the age of only 17, Eitzinger announced that he was about to end his career.
