Philipp Ludwig Hermann Röder

Philipp Ludwig Hermann Röder (born October 21, 1755 in Stuttgart ; † March 31, 1831 in Walheim ) was a Württemberg Protestant clergyman and travel writer.

After completing his studies (theology, philosophy) at the Tubingen seminary held Roeder 1778, first Vicar points in Lienzingen , Maulbronn and Lochgau before 1790 deacon in Marbach am Neckar and in 1799 pastor in Tamm was. In 1811 he became a pastor in Walheim .

From the perspective of the Enlightenment, Röder wrote a whole series of historical-geographical descriptions. His main work, published anonymously, is the Lexicon of Swabia ( Ulm 1791/7).
