Philipp Oliver Baumgarten (* 1988 in Magdeburg ) is a German actor .

Life

Philipp Oliver Baumgarten grew up in Aalen ( Baden-Württemberg ). During his school days he gained his first acting experience at the Aalen Young Theater.

From 2011 to August 2015 he was a permanent member of the ensemble at the Landestheater Detmold . He played there u. a. the secretary Wurm in Cabal and Love , the title role in Duke Theodor von Gothland , Death in Jedermann , Harold in Harold and Maude , the roles of Saladin and Patriarch in Nathan the Wise and Craig in Ladies Night . In 2016 and 2018 he appeared, both under the direction of Nils Düwell , in the opera-air performances of the “ Müritz-Saga ” in Waren (Müritz) in the plays The Legacy and Under the Spell of the Witch Hunter . From April to July 2017 he performed at room Heidelberg Theater in the play Blue / Orange by Joe Penhall .

Philipp Oliver Baumgarten has been a permanent member of the ensemble at Theater Neubrandenburg / Neustrelitz since the 2018/19 season . Here he played u. a. the young author Clifford Anderson in the crime play The Death Trap by Ira Levin . At the beginning of October 2019 he performed the theater monologue Judas von Lot Vekemans in the Neubrandenburg Johanniskirche .

From January to April 2017 he was in the RTL television series Unter Uns in the role of medical student and " nerds " Lukas Richter. In the 17th season of the ARD -Telenovela Rote Rosen , which has been filmed in Lüneburg since the beginning of September 2019 and has been broadcast since October 2019, Baumgarten takes over from episode 2986, alongside Claudia Schmutzler and Herbert Ulrich , as cook Alexander “Alex” Maiwald one of the three main season roles.

Baumgarten currently lives (as of October 2019) in Neustrelitz in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania .
