Claudia Schmutzler (born September 19, 1966 in Dresden ) is a German actress .

Life

Schmutzler completed her training at the "Hans Otto" theater school in Leipzig . At the same time she gained her first experience on stage at the Dresden State Theater. Afterwards, Schmutzler played on experimental stages and in independent theater productions.

Schmutzler became known nationwide in the role of Jacqueline Struutz in Go Trabi Go (1991) and Go Trabi Go 2 - That Was the Wild East (1992) alongside film father Wolfgang Stumph . Another great success was her lead role in the Sat.1 series For all cases Stefanie (1996–1998 and 2000–2004)

From 2005 to 2017, Schmutzler was in front of the camera for the role of chief detective Katrin Börensen in the ZDF television series SOKO Wismar . Her successor was Nike Fuhrmann. Since October 2019, she can be seen as Astrid Richter in the Rote Rosen series.

Private

The actress lives in Berlin and has two children, daughter Charley Ann and a son. She is in a relationship with the actor Sönke Schnitzer .
