biography
Charley Ann Schmutzler is the daughter of the actress Claudia Schmutzler and the bass baritone Florian Hartfiel. Her parents separated before she was born. At the age of eleven she played in the TV series SOKO Wismar at the side of her mother. She then had supporting roles in the drama Leroy (2006) and the fairy tale film Die Gänsemagd (2009). After a preparatory year of study at the Institute for Musical and Music Theater Paul Hindemith in Berlin-Neukölln , she went to the School for Drama in Hamburg , where she presented her semester thesis as a director in 2013 with the short film Weg .
In 2013 she applied for the first time to the talent show The Voice of Germany , but then withdrew her application. The following year she took part in the fourth season and was brought into the team in the “Blind Auditions” of Michi Beck and Smudo by the Fantastischen Vier . In the semifinals she performed the new song Blue Heart , which was chosen for her and which was then also offered for sale in the download shops. Before the start of the final show, she had the second-most downloads of the four finalists and in the final broadcast on December 12, she prevailed with her three lectures, one of them with Hozier and his hit Take Me to Church , with a clear lead over the three competitors.
In July 2015, a tour planned for September was canceled due to filming.
