features

Phlomis pichleri is a nanophanerophyte that reaches heights of 100 to 150 centimeters. The leaves are rounded to heart-shaped at the base. The bracts are oblong-ovate. The chalice is 14 millimeters. The tufted hairs of the bracts and calyxes are star-haired when pressed.

The flowering period extends from April to May.

Occurrence

Phlomis pichleri is endemic to Karpathos , Kasos and Saria . The species grows in Phrygana in ravines at altitudes of 0 to 800 meters.
