Pierre-Alain Fridez (born November 20, 1957 in Moutier ; resident in Grandfontaine JU ) is a Swiss politician ( SP ).

Life

Fridez was born in Moutier in 1957 and attended primary and secondary school in Courrendlin . In 1976 he graduated from the Porrentruy grammar school . He then studied medicine at the University of Lausanne . He also successfully completed his training as a general practitioner FMH and complementary medicine (homeopathy and mesotherapy).

Pierre-Alain Fridez is married and has four children. He lives in Fontenais and runs a doctor's office there. He held the rank of soldier in the Swiss Army .

politics

From 1997 to 2008 Fridez was mayor of Fontenais. In addition, he was a member of the parliament of the Canton of Jura from 1999 to 2006 . From 2010 to 2011 he was Vice President of the SP of the Canton of Jura.

Fridez has been a member of the National Council since December 5, 2011 , where he is a member of the Security Commission and the delegation responsible for relations with the French Parliament .
