Pierre Boya (born January 16, 1984 in Douala ) is a Cameroonian football player on the position of a striker. He has played for AS Saint-Amand-Montrond in France since 2017 .
Career
society
Boya began his career at Union Douala , where players like Thimothée Atouba and Joël Epalle were also active.
In 2002 he moved abroad and signed a contract with Salam Zgharta in the Lebanese top division. A year later he moved to Tripoli SC , which at that time was still called Olympic Beirut. There he could not book a game as a substitute in the championship, but the club won it and Olympic remained successful in the cup.
In 2003 it went to Europe for the first time . Boya signed a contract with FK Partizan Belgrade in Serbia . In his first year with Partizan, he was runner-up behind FK Red Star Belgrade . 2004/05 was a more successful year. Initially, Boya made his debut at European level and made it to the round of 16 of the UEFA Cup with Partizan . The striker made his debut against Romanian representatives Dinamo Bucharest and played through the 3-1 first leg win in Belgrade to make it 2-1. A total of two more goals followed in this European Cup season. Partizan was also successful in the championship with Boya. The Serbian-Montenegrin championship title could be won. A year later, the club was runner-up again. After another runner-up in 2006/07, the Cameroonian moved to Rapid Bucharest in Romania.
At Rapid he was able to prevail straight away. He made his debut on August 26, 2007 against FC Timișoara when he came on for Mugurel Buga in the 73rd minute . In the end, Rapid finished third and qualified for the UEFA Cup . In the second season, Boya made eleven appearances for Rapid in the first half of the season. In the winter transition period he moved to France and from that time played at Grenoble Foot .
The debut came against Valenciennes when he came on for his compatriot Albert Baning in the 64th minute. The game ended 0-0. This was followed by another 14 games in which Boya was used, scoring a goal against AC Le Havre . In the end, Grenoble took 13th place.
In the summer of 2010 he left Grenoble and joined his former club Partizan Belgrade , which he left again in winter.
On October 13, 2011 Austria Lustenau announced the commitment of the striker, where he has not played a league game due to a lack of playing authorization. In January 2012 the striker received his license to play and was able to convince as a regular player with an impressive goal rate. In early September 2012 Boya was loaned to Randers FC in the Danish Superliga until the end of the year .
In January 2013 he was dismissed from Austria Lustenau because he did not appear at the Vorarlberger training session. In March 2013 he was hired again at Randers FC. He finished the 2012/13 season with his team in third place, which meant qualifying for the Europa League . Boya then moved to Penang FA in the Malaysian third division. After the club's rise in late 2013, he returned to Europe, where Albanian first division club FK Kukësi signed him. With his new club, he won the runner-up in 2014 . In July 2014 he moved to Mohun Bagan AC in the Indian I-League . With the team from Kolkata he won the championship in 2015 . At the end of 2015 he terminated his contract and joined Persija Jakarta in March 2016 .
From January 2017 he played for AS Pagny-sur-Moselle in the French CFA 2 for six months and then moved to the lower-class club AS Saint-Amand-Montrond.
National team
Internationally, he has made four appearances for Cameroon and scored one goal. He took part in the 2006 Africa Cup in Egypt , where Cameroon reached the quarter-finals. He was used in the first group game against Angola and in the third group game against the DR Congo .
