Pierre-André-Charles Cardinal Petit de Julleville (born November 22, 1876 in Dijon , France , † December 10, 1947 in Rouen ) was Archbishop of Rouen .

Life

Pierre Petit de Julleville received his training at the St. Sulpice Seminary and at the Sorbonne in Paris . In 1903 he received the sacrament of ordination and in 1905 became a member of the faculty of the Issy seminary in Paris . From 1910 to 1927 he was a canon of the Cathedral of Neuilly and Superior school Sainte-Croix-de-Neuilly. During the First World War , he served as a military chaplain .

In 1927 Pope Pius XI appointed him . the Bishop of Dijon and 1936 as archbishop of Rouen. Pope Pius XII accepted him in 1946 as a cardinal priest of the pro hac vice church of Santa Maria in Aquiro , which was elevated to the title church, in the college of cardinals . Pierre Petit de Julleville died on December 10, 1947 in Rouen and was buried in the cathedral there.
