Piewitzfeld
The nature reserve Piewitzfeld is located southwest of the Friedewalde part of the city of Petershagen in the triangle between the roads 772 and 764. The area is around 5.5 hectares and is listed under the number MI-067.
By placing it under protection, the moist grassland is to be preserved in order to protect the rare animals and plants adapted to these site conditions. To achieve these goals, it is necessary to restore wet meadows on parts of the area. In addition, it was placed under protection because of the special character and rarity of this former low moors .
