Mittelweser (nature reserve)

The Mittelweser nature reserve is located on the left bank of the Weser between the Ovenstädt and Hävern districts of the city of Petershagen . The area is around 91 hectares and is listed under the number MI-024.

The purpose of the protection is the preservation and the creation of communities and habitats of certain wild plants and wild animal species.

In connection with the adjoining Weseraue nature reserve, the Mittelweser as a core nature reserve is an outstanding part of the European bird sanctuary .
