The Piper PA-46 is a single-engine business jet produced by the US aircraft manufacturer Piper Aircraft Corporation .

The PA-46 is a metal low wing aircraft with retractable landing gear and pressurized cabin . In its normal configuration it has a capacity for four to six passengers. Development began in the late 1970s. The first flight of the prototype PA-46-300T took place on November 30, 1979. The first flight of the serial version 310P then took place in August 1982 and the approval by the FAA in September 1983. 404 pieces of this were produced. The cabin has a length of 3.76 m, a width of 1.26 m and a height of 1.19 m.

  • Malibu ( PA-46-300T ), prototype (still without pressure cabin)
  • Malibu ( PA-46-310P ), first production version with Zweiblatt- Hartzell - Propeller
  • Malibu Mirage ( PA-46-350P ), improved version with new drive and three-bladed Hartzell propeller, changed electrics and new interior, first flight in 1998
  • Malibu Meridian ( PA-46-500TP ), improved variant with new turboprop drive and four-blade Hartzell propeller, first flight August 21, 1998
  • Matrix ( PA-46-R350-T ), the latest cheaper version, which received its type certification in October 2007. It is equipped with the same drive, the glass cockpit (from Avidyne) and the three-bladed Hartzell propeller as the Mirage, but does not have a pressurized cabin.
  • M600 ( PA-46-600TP ), enlarged version of the Malibu Meridian with a new wing design.
