Pit fisherman

Pit Fischer (* 12. February 1937 in Dusseldorf , † 8. May 2010 in Hamburg ) was a German stage designer , who from 1983 to 2008 for the stage design of the ZDF - entertainment show Wetten, dass ..? was responsible.

Career

Fischer learned the profession of theater set designer at the Art Academy in Düsseldorf , where he first studied theater studies and free painting , but was brought to change subjects by the set designer Teo Otto . At the age of twenty, Fischer became Otto's assistant at the Salzburg Festival . Later he was chief set designer at the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus and the Hamburg State Opera .

Fischer was born in 1983 from Wetten dass ..? - Director Alexander Arnz engaged as stage designer for the main evening show. As such, he designed the backdrops for the singing performances of the star guests and the props for the competitions. One of his outstanding works was the appearance of Michael Jackson , which he let hover over the audience on a lifting crane. The pop singer Seal let the decoration of his Wetten dass ..? - Recreate a gig for his tour .

In August 2008, Fischer retired from working life for health reasons.

Fischer was married to Nicole Heesters until his death . The marriage has a son and a daughter ( Saskia ).
