Pittini is an Italian steel manufacturer based in Osoppo in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region .

Pittini only operates small electric steelworks and has an annual production of 2 million tons of structural steel (long steel with a low carbon content ). The end products are reinforcing bars , reinforcement mesh and lattice girders .

history

In 1950 Andrea Pittini founded a scrap business. In 1971, the company's first steelworks went into operation in Monfalcone . This is followed by a modern wire rod mill and, in 1975, today's main plant in Osoppo (Ferriere Nord).

In 2013 the Austrian BSTG is taken over.
