The Slovenian Alpine Club ( Slov. Planinska Zveza Slovenije , PZS ) is the largest Alpine Club in Slovenia and the owner of 178 Alpine Club huts in the Slovenian parts of the Alps . Its predecessor organization was founded on February 27, 1893 in Ljubljana , after the Second World War the association was given its current structure under its current name.

The association is a member of the UIAA , the Club Arc Alpin (CAA), the Balkan Mountaineering Union (BMU) and, since 2017, a member of the EUMA . He is a member of the multilateral agreement on reciprocal rights to huts .

There are 287 sections, including academic sections in Ljubljana and Marburg as well as foreign sections in Klagenfurt ( Slovensko Planinsko Društvo Celovec ), Trieste (seat: Sesana ), Gorizia and San Pietro al Natisone ( Veneto section ).
