Polgár is a city in Hajdú-Bihar County in Hungary . Until the end of 2012 it was the administrative center of the small area of the same name . The city has about 8,000 inhabitants (as of 2011). The city is on the Ohat-Pusztakócs-Nyíregyháza railway line , and the M3 ( E79 ) motorway and main road 35 run through the municipality .
