action

One evening in a car repair shop, accountant Juliane heard noises from the cash register. She looks and is overwhelmed by a hooded man. The man can escape. 10,000 marks are missing in the safe. First Lieutenant Jürgen Hübner and Sergeant Lutz Subras take over the investigation. First of all, Julian's friend Marko Buchholz is suspected. He had already arrived at the factory around 10 p.m. to pick up Juliane, but was only at her half an hour later. He claims that he had repaired a car in the meantime because he was there too early. The suspicion against Marko is confirmed when the car of his customer Ms. Müller-Dommisch is found in his garage, which shows clear signs of an accident. Marko drove the car after his mother's friend, Eddi Alscher, who works as an employee in customer reception in the same company as Marko. He suspected that Eddi wanted to meet other women. The accident occurred while chasing through the forest. The repair would cost around 8,000 marks, but Marko is willing to repair the car out of pocket.

Eddi Alscher himself is also under suspicion. Car mechanic Richard Pauli says that he saw Eddi at the factory that evening. He spoke to him, but Eddi did not respond to his call. Eddi, on the other hand, claims to have sat in front of the television all evening with his girlfriend Beate Buchholz, Marko's mother. Only later does he admit that he briefly bought cigarettes in between. He also saw Richard Pauli, but with a woman. That's why he didn't listen to Richard's call, because he thought they both wanted to be alone.

Jürgen Hübner learns from Mr. Ratzek that Eddi wants to cheat him for money. He once asked Eddi in the workshop if he could organize a BMW Dixi for him , and Eddi said he would. Ratzek paid him an advance of 6,800 marks for the car, which Eddi never delivered. Apparently the seller of the car had changed his mind. Meanwhile, Ratzek is pushing for his money and has given Eddi three days to repay. Eddi tries to borrow money from Beate, but she rejects a relationship built on debts. Eddi lets the deadline set by Ratzek pass. Only a trick leads the investigators on the right track. Jürgen Huebner has a homicide squad employee sell his BMW Dixi by ad. Eddi, desperately looking for such a car for sale to Ratzek, buys the car - with the stolen money from the cash desk of his company, as can be seen from the serial numbers on the notes. Eddi is arrested as a perpetrator.
