Axel Triebel

Axel Max Triebel (born December 13, 1899 in Berlin ; † February 10, 1976 there ) was a German actor .

Life

Triebel began his acting career in 1916 at the Volksbühne Berlin . He later gave numerous guest appearances at home and abroad ( Krakow , Lodz , Paris ) and appeared as head of cabarets and guest performance directors . In 1950 he moved to the Berliner Ensemble in East Berlin. There he played under Bertolt Brecht in Mother Courage and Her Children , The Caucasian Chalk Circle , Mr. Puntila and his servant Matti and Maxim Gorki's The Mother .

Since 1947 he appeared with small roles in a number of DEFA film productions . Triebel was later seen in DFF films. The bald artist was considered " a brilliant comedian and master of burlesque who fills every character in the episode with life ".
