Polly Maberly

Polly Lucinda Maberly (* 1976 in Reigate , Surrey , England ) is a British theater and film actress .

Life

Polly Maberly was born in 1976 to a lawyer in Reigate, Surrey. She attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London . At the age of ten she stood for the first time in front of the film camera for the British television series The Ghost Castle (1986). In 1995 she played the role of Kitty Bennet alongside Jennifer Ehle and Colin Firth in the famous BBC multi-part series Pride and Prejudice, based on Jane Austen 's novel of the same name . In 1999 she appeared in the short film Gooseberries Don't Dance alongside Ian Holm . Since 2001 she can be seen in front of the camera more often. From 2003 to 2004 she played a psychiatrist in 13 episodes of the television series The Royal . She was later used several times in the series Doctors (2008-2015), Hollyoaks (2011) and EastEnders (2017-2018). In the 2000s she was often on the theater stage, such as Thea Elvsted in Ibsen's Hedda Gabler at the Liverpool Playhouse in 2006 .

She has an older brother named Guy and two younger brothers, Thomas and Jack. Her younger sister, Kate Maberly, is also an actress.
