Pool of Muckhart ( Scottish Gaelic Poll Mhuc-Àird ) is a settlement in the east of the Scottish Council Area Clackmannanshire and the traditional Scottish county of Perthshire . It is located about eight kilometers northwest of Dunfermline and 13 km southwest of Perth at the foot of the Ochil Hills and belongs to the Hillfoots Villages . The Firth of Forth flows about eight miles, the Devon about two kilometers south. Pool of Muckhart is connected to the road network by the A91 . Together with the Yetts of Muckhart to the west, it forms the Parish Muckhart . In 1991 this had a total of 520 inhabitants.
