Port-Villez was a French commune in the Yvelines department in the Île-de-France region and has been a commune déléguée in the commune of Notre-Dame-de-la-Mer with 246 inhabitants since 2019 (as of January 1, 2017). The residents call themselves Villezportains .

geography

It borders the towns of Vernon in the northwest , Giverny in the northeast, Limetz-Villez in the east, Bennecourt in the southeast, Jeufosse in the south and Blaru in the west . The district is mostly wooded. The village center is on the left bank of the Seine .

The Route nationale 182 and the Paris – Le Havre railway line pass through Port-Villez.

history

On January 1, 2019, Port-Villez merged with Jeufosse to form the municipality of Notre-Dame-de-la-Mer . Port-Villez is now a commune déléguée . The municipality of Port-Villez belonged to the arrondissement of Mantes-la-Jolie and the canton of Bonnières-sur-Seine .
