Flights should be operated by the Danish airline Backbone . This ceased business operations in January 2018 and opened insolvency proceedings.

From the 2017 winter flight schedule , PowdAir wanted to serve six destinations in the United Kingdom as well as Hamburg Airport and Antwerp Airport from Sion . Due to financial bottlenecks, the start of flights was postponed indefinitely at the beginning of December 2017. The airline never started.
