history

Pram is mentioned for the first time as "Prama" in a donation from a noble family to the Freising diocese in 773. In 792, the same family made further donations to the Sankt Emmeram monastery . In 1403 the Seligenthal monastery took over possessions in Pram with a tavern as well as the local jurisdiction in exchange for a farm in Greilsberg . In the goods conscriptions of 1752 Pram and the associated hamlet Nißlpram are listed as Hofmark with eight properties. Graf von Arco zu Oberköllnbach is named as the owner . However, the listed owner of the Hofmark had no property in the place. For this reason and because there are no other reliable sources on a Hofmark Pram, it is doubtful whether Pram / Nißlpram really was a trained Hofmark.

When the municipalities in Bavaria were formed according to the municipal dictates, Pram was assigned to the rural municipality of Gerabach as a church village . In the directory of 1877 Pram is listed as a church village with 56 inhabitants. In 1946 the Gerabach community was dissolved and Pram became part of Bayerbach near Ergoldsbach.

Architectural monuments

The branch church of St. Martin and St. Nikolaus is a hall church built in 1758 . The apse under the tower comes from a previous Romanesque building .
