biography

Since his mother married four times, Lacy had to move often in his childhood. In order not to appear as an outsider in school, he often gave the class clown. He was interested in the comedians Richard Pryor , Eddie Murphy and Don Rickles at the time . The sitcom Taxi finally gave him the decision to become an actor or comedian himself. He completed his theater studies at Missouri State University and then worked as a truck driver. After saving enough money, he moved to Los Angeles in hopes of making a breakthrough as an actor. He initially appeared primarily as an actor in commercials before he was hired for some skits on the Tonight Show in 1992 .

Lacy later got to know the later Jackass co- founder Johnny Knoxville through appearances in advertisements , the latter told him about his plan to want to start a show that would be about daring stunts and tests of courage. At the time, Lacy said that this idea was still “stupid”, but later allowed himself to be persuaded to join the project. When the Jackass show began , he was still working behind the scenes as a writer, but Knoxville wanted him to be a stuntman in front of the camera. Again, Lacy agreed afterwards. The immense success of the series and the films of the same name gave Lacy the ultimate breakthrough.

As an actor, Lacy was also seen in Christmas in Wonderland alongside Patrick Swayze and Tim Curry ; he was also one of the authors of the national lampoon film TV: The Movie . He is currently a stand-up comedian and has appeared in various regions of the United States .
