The Prims nature reserve is located in the Merzig-Wadern and Saarlouis districts in Saarland .

The area with the identification NSG-N-6507-301, which consists of several sub-areas, extends south of Nonnweiler and north of Michelbach , a district of the community of Schmelz , along the Prims , a right tributary of the Saar . The A 62 runs on the northern edge of the area and the B 268 on the southern edge . Far east which runs A 1 .
