Priscilla Ann Presley (* 24. May 1945 in Brooklyn , New York City , as Priscilla Ann Wagner ) is an American actress . She was married to Elvis Presley and is the mother of Lisa Marie Presley .

biography

Priscilla Presley is the daughter of Lieutenant James Frederick Wagner and his wife Anna Lillian Iversen. Her father died in a plane crash shortly after she was born. Her mother then married the Canadian Air Force Officer Paul Beaulieu, whose name the family took.

Priscilla Beaulieu, whose stepfather had been transferred to Wiesbaden , Germany, met Elvis Presley , ten years older than him , in Bad Nauheim in 1959 at the age of 14 . She had lived in the Graceland mansion in Memphis for several years before the wedding . She also graduated from high school at a Catholic girls' school. Her parents gave her permission to live at Graceland after Elvis Presley promised them that they would get married when she was of legal age. The wedding took place on May 1, 1967 in Las Vegas at the Aladdin Hotel (now the Planet Hollywood Hotel ). Their child is the singer Lisa Marie Presley , who was born on February 1, 1968. On October 9, 1973, Elvis and Priscilla Presley were divorced.

She then opened a boutique with Olivia Bis in Beverly Hills , where celebrities such as Cher , Lana Turner , Natalie Wood , Julie Christie and Eva Gabor were among her customer base.

On June 7, 1982, she opened Graceland to fans of Elvis and had it expanded into a kind of museum with attached restaurants, shops and hotels .

From 1984 to 2006 she lived with the Brazilian director Marco Garibaldi, their son was born in 1987.

As an actress, Priscilla Presley appeared in the television series Dallas , in which she played the role of Jenna Wade for five years. She also had guest appearances on the series Melrose Place and was the leading actress in the film series The Naked Cannon . She is a member of Scientology , as is her daughter Lisa Marie Presley.
