Pristol is a municipality in Mehedinți County in southwestern Romania .

The community extends along the left bank of the Danube in the south of the district. The two villages of the municipality are surrounded by the extensive grain fields of the Little Wallachia . Pristol became known for its location in the triangle of Romania, Serbia and Bulgaria . The district capital Drobeta Turnu Severin is located 62 km north of the municipality and is also on the banks of the Danube.
