The 2011/12 season was the first season of the Professional Hockey League , the highest Ukrainian ice hockey division . The master was the HK Donbass Donetsk II .

In the main round, each of the eight teams played a total of 42 games. The four best-placed teams qualified for the playoffs in which the champions were played out. A win in regular time earned a team 3 points. A win and a defeat after extra time was rewarded with 2 or 1 point. There were no points for a defeat in regular time.
