Project B ( Chinese A 計劃 續集 / A 计划 续集 , Pinyin 'A' jì huà xù jí , Cantonese 'A' gai waak juk jaap - "Plan A Nachspiel", English: Project B or Project A II ) is a 1987 in Hong Kong turned action and martial arts film with Jackie Chan in the lead role. He also directed and was stunt coordinator.

The film starts where the first part of Project A ends. The now homeless pirates swear to take revenge on Dragon Ma for Sam Pau's death . He continues to try to fight the crime and is recruited by the police, on the one hand to end the criminal supremacy of the gangster Lonesome Wolf and on the other hand to investigate evidence that the high-ranking police officer Chun is supposed to be corrupt.
The Chun mission is easier than it sounds, however, and lets Dragon slip deep into the superintendent's criminal activities as well as a government conspiracy surrounding a group of revolutionaries hunted by imperial agents, which culminates in Dragons and Chun's turbulent escape in chains from the pirates.
A fictitious theft by bribery police and colonial officials finally sends Dragon to prison. However, the revolutionaries set him free again. Dragon allies with them and the pirates and has a final duel with Chun , his henchmen and the agents.
Armed with hot chili peppers, which he rubs in his opponent's face and spits, he can neutralize the villains and bring back justice.
Remarks
- The German distributor showed humor when awarding the film title. In the original the strip was called u. a. also Project A II or Project A, Part 2 . Who comes in the alphabet to AB, simply called the local version B project .
- Again, in many scenes, Chan's admiration for silent film cinema can be seen. In a scene at the end of a collapsing bamboo wall, Chan was inspired by a similarly spectacular scene in Buster Keaton's Steamboat Bill, Jr. to inspire. Another scene pays homage to the Marx Brothers . Here Maggie Cheung tries to hide several groups of people in her apartment without them knowing about each other. One person is chained to a sofa.
- Jackie Chan not only starred and coordinated the stunts, he also sang the theme song. In Germany, however, the film's opening credits were removed and backed by film credits without sound.
- As a reminder of Project A, the pirates in Project B were given the same broad North German accent as Sam Pau in the previous film.
- Bozidar Smiljanic and Rosamund Kwan already worked in The Right Arm of the Gods at Jackie Chan's side .
- The chilli peppers that Chan chewed to rub or spit in the face of his opponents were real. The wrong pods were supposed to be made, but they were not finished in time.
- Anthony Carpio , a stuntman from the film, said after the filming that the actor Mars , who played one of Dragon Ma's assistants, doubled Jackie Chan in a few scenes.
