history

Andrzej Komoniecki (1658–1729), the Vogt of Żywiec (Saybusch), took the name of the village Przyłęków, first mentioned in the 17th century, from the location przy łąkach (near the meadows) in his Chronicle of the Saybuscher Land from the early 18th century. from Świnna ( Łęki is the form of the name Łąki in Lesser Poland ).

During the first partition of Poland in 1772 the village became part of the new Kingdom of Galicia and Lodomeria of the Habsburg Empire (from 1804). From 1782 it belonged to the Myslenice district (1819 with the seat in Wadowice ). After the abolition of patrimonial , it formed a municipality in the Saybusch district after 1850 . In 1886 a local shepherd had a vision from Our Lady who promised the healing of his daughter. A church was built in 1896 and 1902 at the site of the prophecy and the healing spring discovered at that time.

In 1918, after the end of the First World War and the collapse of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy, Przyłęków became part of Poland. This was only interrupted by the occupation of Poland by the Wehrmacht in World War II . It then belonged to the district of Saybusch in the administrative district of Katowice in the province of Silesia (since 1941 province of Upper Silesia ).

From 1975 to 1998 Przyłęków belonged to the Bielsko-Biała Voivodeship .
