Qiongshan

Qiongshan ( Chinese  琼山 区 , Pinyin Qióngshān Qū ; the former 瓊州  /  琼州 , Qióngzhōu ) is a Chinese municipality in the prefecture -level city of Haikou ( 海口 市 , Hǎikǒu shì ) in the north of the Hainan Province in the People's Republic of China . It occupies a central and south-eastern part of the city. With an area of ​​940 km², it is by far the largest of the four city districts. At the 2010 census it counted 479,960 inhabitants. In 2002 there were still 360,000 inhabitants.
