Que Sera, Sera

Que Sera, Sera (Whatever Will Be, Will Be) is a pop song written in 1956 by Ray Evans and Jay Livingston for the film The Man Who Knew Too Much by Alfred Hitchcock . In the film, he was by Doris Day sang and 1957 as best song with the Oscar awarded. In Great Britain it reached number 1 on the charts, in the USA it was a number two hit and a million seller.

From 1968 to 1973 the song was the theme tune of the Doris Day Show on American television. Also sung by Doris Day, the song appears in her later films Spy in Lace Panties and Championship in Affair .

In the song, a girl asks her mother about the future. When the girl has grown up, she asks her husband, and her child asks her questions too. The answer is always: “Qué será , será” ( Spanish for 'What will be, will be').
