Rózsa Darázs (born November 3, 1987 in Jászberény ) is a Hungarian short tracker . At the 2006 Olympic Games she was the flag bearer of the Hungarian team.

She experienced her first international championship at the Junior World Championship in Budapest in 2003 , where she could not survive the heats. In Warsaw she took part in the adult world championship for the first time only a little later , but also did not survive the preliminary runs. In the 2003/04 season she made her debut in the World Cup in February and took part in all the highlights of the season. Her best results were reaching the semi-finals over 1500 m at the Junior World Championships and the quarter-finals over 500 m at the European Championships in The Hague .

Darázs celebrated first successes in the 2005/06 season . In the World Cup, she reached several quarter-finals over various distances. At the Junior World Championships in Miercurea Ciuc she was able to win bronze in the relay as well as at the European Championships in Krynica-Zdrój . Darázs qualified for the Olympic Games in Turin . There she was the flag bearer of the Hungarian Olympic team at the opening ceremony. She appeared in all three individual distances, but was eliminated in the preliminary stages. In the 2006/07 season , Darázs reached a semi-final in the World Cup for the first time over 1500 m. In the other season highlights, however, it could not improve.

After Darázs was not part of the Hungarian World Cup team in the following season, she drew attention again in the 2008/09 season . In the World Cup, she reached a semi-final over 500 m and 1500 m, and at the European Championships in Turin , she also reached the semi-finals over 500 m and 1500 m. However, she achieved her greatest sporting success so far in the relay. She became European champion for the first time with Bernadett Heidum , Andrea Keszler and Erika Huszár . The following season 2009/10 was not very successful for Darázs in individual races. But she achieved good placements with fourth place in the relay at the European Championships in Dresden and fifth in the team at the World Championships in Bormio . With the Hungarian relay she took part in her second Olympic Games in Vancouver . The quartet finished second in the B final and fifth in the final ranking. In the 2010/11 season , Darázs started at four World Cups and reached the semi-finals twice over 1500 m.
