Röblitz is a settlement of Unterwellenborn in the Saalfeld-Rudolstadt district in Thuringia .

geography

Röblitz is located in the Weiratal ( Orlasenke ) near the federal highway 281 about five kilometers east of Saalfeld / Saale . To the east of the place the district and the place Oberwellenborn adjoins. The Uhlstädter Heide forest area , a mountainous sandstone location , begins to the north . The Saalfeld – Gera railway line also passes by in the immediate vicinity of Unterwellenborn .

history

Röblitz was first mentioned in a document on March 10, 1279.

The Romanesque church from 1572 was restored after a fire in 1640–53.

The rural village was then subject to the development of Unterwellenborn. In 1923 Unterwellenborn and Röblitz were combined, but in 1951 the double name was dropped. Today they go on a common path.
