The Röderbach is an approximately seven kilometer long Hunsrück brook in the Bernkastel-Wittlich district in Rhineland-Palatinate . The upper, southwest-facing section of its forest valley in the Idarwald is called Singendes Tal . The Röderbach flows in Dhronecken with the shorter and less catchment area Thalfangerbach coming from the right to form the Kleine Dhron .
course
The Röderbach rises in the Idarwald on the southern flank of the Bromerkopf not far from the leisure center on the Erbeskopf at about 606 m above sea level. NHN and initially flows in a south-westerly direction through the Singing Valley , which is damp in places and in which there are three small ponds along the river. At the mouth of the Hohltriefbach last coming from the southeast, the creek bends towards the west. It then runs briefly on the border of the Malborner Hochwald in the south to the Idarwald in the north and, after crossing into the more open landscape of the Hermeskeiler Mulde, passes the village of Hilscheid in the south. There it crosses the federal highway 327 , a section of the Hunsrückhöhenstraße . Less than a kilometer later, it flows through Dhronecken, where it crosses the former Hunsrückquerbahn , which runs from the northeast from the valley of the Thalfangerbach. The Röderbach unites with this on the other side of the route at about 369 m above sea level. NHN to the Kleine Dhron, which initially flows westward.
