Rüppershausen is a district of Bad Laasphe in the Siegen-Wittgenstein district and has 250 inhabitants. The village is located in the upper Lahn valley and has an area of 2.68 km².
Geographical location
Rüppershausen is in the “Auf den Höfen” area, a part of the town of Bad Laasphe that is characterized by agricultural land and is otherwise predominantly forested. Hiking trails lead from here, for example, to the Hohe Haupt or the Leimstruth. Fields and meadows are still used for agriculture. A special attraction is the "Alte Braache" with a beautiful festival hall that was built by the residents themselves. Rüppershausen is 3 km away from Feudingen and 6 km from Erndtebrück .

In 1365 the place was first mentioned as Ruprachtishusen . In 1538 Rüppershausen belonged to the Wittgenstein family. The cutting and grinding mill was built in 1692. The village now consists of 5 houses. In the 18th century the place belonged to the Erndtebrück office. Today the place has about 250 inhabitants.
On January 1, 1975, the municipality of Rüppershausen was incorporated into the city (Bad) Laasphe.
