Laaspherhütte is a district of Bad Laasphe in the Siegen-Wittgenstein district in North Rhine-Westphalia .

The village is located in the lower Banfe valley between the core town of Bad Laasphe and Herbertshausen . The distance to the city center is approx. 2 km as the crow flies .
history
The place name can be traced back to a steelworks that was operated here around 1580 or earlier. No further details are known. In contrast to the villages incorporated in the course of the Sauerland / Paderborn law in 1975, Laaspherhütte was already part of the town (Bad) Laasphe.
A list of inhabitants from 1532 shows the existence of a hut called Hut vor dem Breitenbach . The brothers Hans and Hermann Nickel are named as smiths there.

Culture and sights
In the vicinity of Laaspherhütte is the Großgemeindestein, which is the geographic center of Bad Laasphe with all its districts. It was built in 1975 and can be reached via various marked hiking trails. Furthermore, the planetary nature trail laid out by students from the Bad Laaspher grammar school in 1998 ends here . The station of Pluto , which has meanwhile been downgraded to a dwarf planet , is in the immediate vicinity.
