Oberndorf is a north-western district of Bad Laasphe in the Siegen-Wittgenstein district in North Rhine-Westphalia .

Geographical location

Oberndorf is located on the border between Bad Laasphe and the municipality of Erndtebrück . The village lies between the mountains Ebschloh ( 686.3  m above sea  level ; north), Hohes Haupt ( 650.5  m above sea level ; northeast) and Aberg ( 531.7  m above sea level ; southwest). Oberndorf is around 9 km (as the crow flies ) from the core town of Bad Laasphe .

Local division

The place is divided into the settlements Oberndorf-Dorf and Oberndorf-Bahnhof. The local border to neighboring Rückershausen runs right through the station building.

history

The place is first mentioned in a document in 1538. From this year the place belongs to the Wittgenstein family. In 1662 it was assigned to the Feudingen school building . From 1720 a church affiliation to the parish Feudingen can be proven. In 1845 Oberndorf belonged to the Erndtebrück office . Since the implementation of the Sauerland / Paderborn Act on January 1, 1975, Oberndorf has belonged to the city of Bad Laasphe.
