The Rabenbach is a left-hand tributary of the Trieb in Saxony . It is about 9.1 kilometers long and has a catchment area of over twenty square kilometers.

course

The Rabenbach rises northeast of the Tirpersdorf district of Lottengrün. It flows about a kilometer in a north-westerly direction, takes on the Langebach on the right and turns north from Theuma to the south. Maintaining the direction of flow, the Rabenbach reaches the Neuensalz district of Mechelgrün , where the Zschockaubach also flows to the right. After a few hundred meters of uneven, winding course, the Rabenbach takes on the trout stream again on the right. It flows through the village of Neuensalz with the Neuensalz gauge and is then dammed southeast of the Altensalz district in the Neuensalz reservoir. Immediately afterwards, the remaining one hundred meters of the Rabenbachtal up to the confluence with the Trieb in the Pöhl dam , which, together with the Thoßfell dam , mainly dams the Trieb.
