Radouň (German Radaun ) is a district of Štětí in the Czech Republic . The place is 4 kilometers northeast of Štětí in the valley of Obrtka and belongs to the Okres Litoměřice .

history

The first written mention of Radujen took place in 1057 in the founding deed of the Leitmeritz chapter. The village was divided in the 16th century. Owners of the largest share with the Meierhof were the Kaplirz de Sulewicz on zebus and bread rolls. The two smaller shares belonged to the Beřkovský ze Šebířova on Liboch and the Vlk from Kvítkov on Schnedowitz . Kaplirz Osterský de Sulewicz had a water fortress built north of the village between two arms of the Obrtka around 1600. The tripartite division of the village between different rulers existed until 1711. After the fortress had lost its function as a manor in the 18th century, it fell into disrepair and went out. In 1802 Jakub Veith assigned the entire Radaun property to his rule in Liboch. There was a strong Jewish community in Radaun, with 117 residents in the 19th century.

From 1850 Radaun belonged to the Dauba district . The village school was built in 1876. In 1880 Radaun had 900 inhabitants. After the Munich Agreement , the predominantly German-settled village was added to the German Reich in 1938 and was part of the Dauba district until 1945 . In 1950 the community was assigned to the Okres Roudnice nad Labem and since 1961 it belongs to the Okres Litoměřice. In 1980 it was incorporated into Štětí. In 1991 there were 171 inhabitants in Radouň. In the 2001 census, 197 people lived in the 69 houses in the village.
