Career

Club player

Raimund Hilger has distinguished himself in his very long active career through his loyalty to Rosenheim ice hockey. How closely he is connected to the ice hockey location Rosenheim was shown by Hilger when, after the bitter end of professional hockey in Rosenheim, he took the initiative and, together with other Rosenheim ice hockey greats, actively helped to shape the new start in the district league (the lowest and seventh ice hockey league). Hilger achieved the culmination of this new beginning when he scored three goals in the final against EV Landsberg 2000 on March 26, 2004 and thus shot the Starbulls, who won 5-2 in the end, into the major league .

Hilger took part as a player in the ice hockey world championships in 1990 , 1991 , 1992 , 1993 , 1994 and 1995, as well as in the Olympic Winter Games in 1992 and 1994 .

The human being

Mondi Hilger attended the Finsterwalder-Gymnasium in Rosenheim and studied business administration after graduating from high school. For several years he has been running a butcher's business that he took over from his father. He is married and has two children.

Miscellaneous

  • Raimund Hilger is probably one of the few players who managed to play in all German ice hockey divisions (district league, regional league, Bayern league, upper league, 2nd Bundesliga, 1st Bundesliga and DEL ).
