Raimund Bollenberger

Raimund Bollenberger (born April 29, 1965 in Vienna ; † March 30, 2019 ) was an Austrian lawyer and university professor . Bollenberger was a professor of civil law , banking law and insolvency law at the Institute for Civil and Civil Procedure Law at the Vienna University of Economics and Business . He also worked as a lawyer .

Life

Raimund Bollenberger completed his Matura in 1983 at the Bundesgymnasium Babenbergerring in Wiener Neustadt and did military service from October 1983 to May 1984 . He then began studying law at the Law Faculty of the University of Vienna , where he initially completed his diploma course with the title Magister iuris (Mag.iur.) In March 1991 . From March 1991 to January 1992, Bollenberger completed his legal practice in the district of the Higher Regional Court of Vienna . In March 1994, the final followed the doctoral program in Law with the promotion to Doctor of Law (Dr. iur.).

From November 1991, Raimund Bollenberger initially worked as a university assistant at the Institute for Civil Law at the University of Vienna under Professor Helmut Koziol . After receiving his doctorate in 1994, Bollenberger's habilitation in civil law followed in 1998 with a habilitation thesis on the subject of “The Deputy Commodum ”. He then worked as a university lecturer and later as an associate professor at the Institute for Civil Law at the University of Vienna.

From March 2000 he was on maternity leave at the University of Vienna, since at that time he started working as a trainee lawyer in the law firm Doralt Seist Csoklich . In July 2003 he passed the bar exam with excellent results and became a registered attorney. Since 2005 he has also been a partner in the Doralt Seist Csoklich law firm .

In the meantime, Raimund Bollenberger accepted a visiting professorship at the Law Faculty of the University of Graz in the 2002/2003 winter semester . In 2003/04 Bollenberger came to the Vienna University of Economics for the first time as part of a lectureship for bank contract, loan security and insolvency law. In October 2007 he was finally appointed full professor for civil and corporate law by the Vienna University of Economics and Business, which he remained until his death after a serious illness in March 2019.
