Rainbow Sun Francks (born December 3, 1979 in Toronto , Ontario ) is a Canadian actor and singer .

Life and accomplishments

He is a son of the actor and musician Don Francks . His mother Lili Francks is an actress and dancer. It bears the Indian name Red Eagle . Her ancestors are from the Cree and Afro-Canadians . Rainbow Sun Francks has an older sister named Cree Summer (* 1969) who is also an actress and singer.

In 2000 he was nominated for the Gemini Award for his lead role in One Heart Broken Into Song .

In October 2001 Francks was a video jockey for the Canadian TV music channel MuchMusic . In addition to acting, he is a member of a band. It's called The Oddities. He bears the name Snidley Whiplash there .

In the first and parts of the second and fifth seasons of the television series Stargate Atlantis , he played Lieutenant Aiden Ford .
