Rainer Gohde (born March 7, 1948 ) is a German director and actor as well as singer and chanson interpreter .

Life

Rainer Gohde grew up in what was then the GDR . From 1964 to 1967 he completed vocational training as a chemical laboratory technician and also graduated from high school. From 1969 to 1973 he studied chemistry at the Technical University in Dresden . He then embarked on an artistic career and was acting eleve at the Freiberg City Theater and the Quedlinburg City Theaters from 1973 to 1975 . He then studied from 1975 to 1978 at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in East Berlin .

In 1978 Gohde had his first engagement in Frankfurt (Oder) at the Kleist Theater there , where he worked as an actor until 1986. From 1986 to 1991 he worked as a freelance director and actor as well as a chanson interpreter and program designer . He had engagements in Berlin, Magdeburg, Frankfurt (Oder) and Brandenburg and was also an acting lecturer at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin. He received several prizes, including the 1986 art prize for the production "Playing Peace". From 1991 to 1998 he was a director, actor and theater director at what was then the Central German State Theater in Wittenberg .

In addition to the theater, he also worked for film and television , dubbing and radio plays .

Rainer Gohde has lived in Lutherstadt Wittenberg since 1990.

Directing work

As a director and author for major events, he staged the successful spectacle “Luther's Wedding” as the Wittenberg Old Town Festival in 1993 and 1994.
